Supermicro Server Manager (SSM) is software for monitoring and managing Supermicro-based servers.

SSM's functionality ranges from centralized management of the servers' BIOS and IPMI firmware versions to monitoring each server's hardware sensors and power management using the Intel Intelligent Power Node Manager (NM).

Depending on the desired functionality, the SFT-OOB-LIC (Supermicro Out of Band) or SFT-DCMS-Single (Supermicro Server Manager) licenses are required. Differences: These licenses significantly expand the standard feature set of the Supermicro remote management interfaces. These licenses must be activated for each managed server. The wiki article provides a helpful table with important information about the included functions of these licenses.
